30%:Formulate Long-term merchandising Strategy:
-Oversees the entire JP Omni Merchandising GTM calendar meeting all deliverables in a timely manner.
-Responsible for the seasonal line selection to meet or exceed all financial targets and ensure key initiatives are adopted and executed
DTC: Direct the Sales, Receipt, Margin, and style-color count targets seasonally, accounting for brand strategies, sales history, and trend for e-Commerce, Concepts and Outlets.
Wholesale: Ensure the assortment and financial plans align with the seasonal and annual Finance Revenue Targets while adopting a compelling assortment aligned with brand initiatives and ensure wholesale channel differentiation.
-Leads seasonal Commercial Input process, informing the Product team on consumer/market needs and direction.
-Consistently reviews sales performance and inventory to inform in season strategies.
-Develops Marketplace LRP Range Plans (5 years out)
30%:Cross Functional Teamwork and Leadership
-Serves as the key liaison between the Japan team and the Global Merchandising, Product, Brand Planning and Marketing teams.
-Establish and develop aligned partnerships with cross-functional teams: DTC, Sales, Integrated planning, Finance, Operations, Marketing.
-Partners with Leadership team of Sales and DTC teams to align on targets to execute the seasonal plans & tie back to merchandise strategies.
-Influences behavior and opinion of others using pertinent data and applying logic to gain consensus.
40%:Lead, guide and grow HOKA Japan Brand merchandising team:
-Leads by example, provides guidance coaching and training to the Merchandising team, possesses a thorough knowledge of all the roles and responsibilities.
-Provides direction through focusing and clearly communicating the priorities of managing multiple seasons.
-Effectively manages and supports the career development of direct reports and the entire team, to ensure job satisfaction and future talent development.

Education/ Experience
- Bachelor's degree
- 10+ years of Product merchandising experience in Sporting Goods or Lifestyle footwear industry,
- 5+ years of people management experience.
- Strategic planning experience in relation to long-term brand merchandising and marketplace strategy backed by both quantitative and qualitative measurements.
- Proven successful history of working with wholesale (Sporting Goods, Sneakers, Fashion) accounts as a merchandiser
- Experience working with Finance team on price and margin analysis
- Experience working directly and in-depth of teams from other countries
Skills/Competencies
- Excellent verbal and written business communication in English.
- High regard and attention for detail and accuracy. Analytical and numeracy skills.
- Excellent planning, organizing and problem-solving skills with ability to identify improvement opportunities and solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills and a talent for building relationships with internal and external partners.
- Insight and knowledge of current product trends and awareness of consumer buying behavior.
- Knowledge of costing, product safety requirements, packaging, QA and compliance.
- Willing to adapt and take on new challenges, and to continually improve operations efficiency.
- Proficient in Microsoft Applications with advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Travel within Japan and to the US
