Key Job Accountabilities 主要職務
To provide proactive legal counseling on data privacy matters under the direction of Japan General Counsel:
・Provide legal advice on digital marketing, e-commerce and other related digital projects from a data privacy perspective.
・Draft or amend data privacy related guidelines, procedures and other governance documents, and implement these in collaboration with business departments and relevant functions.
・Prepare contractual templates and consent forms on data privacy field.
・Handle data privacy breaches in a speedy and appropriate manner.
・Monitor the legislation within the area of data privacy.
・Communicate with and create a trustful relationship with relevant stakeholders in North Asia Zone and Global (in Paris) for data privacy matters.
・Serve as a deputy DPO of Nihon L'Oréal
・Provide training to business and other function department on data privacy.
To provide legal counseling on various matters (other than data privacy) as a strategic business partner under the direction of Japan General Counsel:
・Draft, review and negotiate various types of contracts to achieve business goals and minimize relevant risks (including commercial, property, industrial, supply contracts and internal group contracts).
・Advise business and functional departments on laws and regulations appliable to L'Oreal business, including regulations on e-commerce.
・Review marketing/promotional materials (labels, packaging, advertising, etc.).
・Optimize legal security/compliance: provide reporting of legal documents and litigations, manage preliminary authorizations, follow compulsory standards.
・Increase operational and functional departments' awareness of Group best practices (in particular, L'Oréal Group's Legal Charter).

Must Have Aspects 必須項目
Basic knowledge of Japanese law (such as law degree or equivalent degree)
Minimum 5 years' legal work experience in legal department, law firm or equivalent.
Experience in business partnering in the area of Japanese Data Privacy Law (Kojin-jyoho-hogo-ho) or at least clear motivation to develop expertise in this area.
Good commercial contract law and transactions experience (including contract drafting and review)
Excellent communication skills in Japanese (both in writing and speaking)
Business level English in writing and speaking
Experience in working as a proactive business partner
Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
Strong awareness of corporate ethics and compliance
Preferred Qualification 希望項目
Basic knowledge of IT, digital media, SNS etc.
Work experience in B to C industry is plus
Experience in advertisement law (Keihin-hyoji-ho) is plus
