Working under the leadership of the Merchandising Manager, the DTC Merchandising is responsible for the execution of brand strategy in line with the Global, facilitation of maximizing sales, profits and brand equity through effective coordination of the sales, logistics, operations, and marketing of the PLG (Hoka One One & Teva) brand for e-Commerce in Japan. Key areas for influence include formulating buying strategy and product mix for each season to ensure the achievement of business objective of Deckers Japan.
【ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS】
Lead Local DTC Product Strategy:
・Implement DTC merchandising strategy in order to enhance brand opportunity for growth.
・plan and select for seasonal product story and mix to hit annual sales target.
・Manage the inventory control and the weekly shipment to 3rd party.
In season monitoring/planning:
・monitor and analyze sales performance at DTC and manage appropriate inventory level continuously.
・collaborate with cross-functional teams to hit annual sales/margin target as well as inventory turnover target. Develop and manage markdown plan.
・Suggest and execute next actions based on the latest sell-thru analysis.
• Bachelor’s degree
・3+ years of eComm merchandising experience in Sports / fashion industry, ideally experienced in footwear with knowledge of brands.
・Strategic planning experience in terms of merchandising, buying and liquidation both for short-term and mid-term.( 3-5yrs) to enhance the brand equity and in line with Global Brand concept.
・Demonstrable success of retail/sales operations coordination and experienced inventory control.
・High regard and attention for detail, accuracy and displays analytical and numeracy skills
・Excellent planning, organizing and problem solving skills with the ability to identify improvement opportunities and solutions.
・Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation skills, and a talent for building relationships with internal and external partners.
・Current insight and knowledge of product trends, store displays and aware of consumer buying behavior.
・Knowledge of costing, product safety requirements, packaging, QA and compliance.
・Willing to adapt and take on new challenges and to continually improve operations efficiency.
・Excellent verbal and written business communication in English.
・Proficient in Microsoft Applications with advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
・Able to expertly work with IT systems such as Oracle
・Travels within Japan and to the global headquarter in the US.
